The most depressing thing about GRE is that it convinces you (quite successfully) that you don’t really know English. It has the tendency to test common people (ie me) with uncommonly used words. For examples, would you use verdant in stead of green; would you choose vouchsafe over guarantee?? May be it just me but I’m not very keen on writing as such.

Anyhow, it’s good that I need to study GRE. It introduces and forces me to understand a whole new range of vocabularies. Besides, I must play by the rules if I really want something.
