迪士尼已經換上聖誕節的裝飾，可惜太熱了，我一點也感受不到聖誕氣氛。

秋遊之 Disneyland
對於我來說香港有個迪士尼最大的好處是 - 近。起碼早上心血來潮想去，一個小時後我人已經站在迪士尼裏。

四月物語
月頭交了其中一份大project之後去了一趟Sydney。我有六年沒有去過Sydney了。這城市比記憶裡更有活力，但那份閑適還在，走在街上腳步都不自覺地慢了下來。可能香港的污染太厲害了，我已忘記原來空氣是可以如此清新天是這般地藍，視野是可以這般地廣闊。
朋友問: "想搬來Sydney嗎?" 不了! Sydney只是另一個大城市，英國的鄉鎮才是我杯茶。可是我知道以後在香港陰晴不定潮濕難耐的日子裡，我會逼切地思念這城市。

賞味之旅
冬陰功
當我見到這碗冬陰功時, 我實在小看了它. 它怎樣看都像平時自己煲的蕃茄薯仔湯, 清清的, 只有一些香葉和一隻大蝦在碗中.
但喝第一口時, 檸檬的酸辣椒的辣香葉的清新香芧的香氣蝦子的甜還有不知名的味道, 一下子沖擊着我的味蕾. 第一次覺受到甚麼是五味紛陳, 每一種味道是獨立鮮明的, 卻又和諧相處甚至提昇了鮮味.
福建薄餅
我其實很喜歡包成一個個的食物, 例如餃子, 春捲, 雲吞. 可能我懶. 這次所食的薄餅是以蔬菜為主, 佩以蝦子, 醃過的蒜泥, 辣椒醬和一種不知名的醬; 有點甜, 有點辣, 又有種海鮮的味道.
因為餡料以蔬菜為主, 所以感覺很清爽. 就算小食量如我, 解決一卷薄餅決不成問題. 唯一要彈的是店主極吝嗇, 蝦子小如蝦米, 而且只放一隻, 真是打一個嘿啾就不見了.
涼茶
在新加坡 '梗有一間喺咗近' 的是涼茶舖, 更難得大部份都是真材實料. 較有印象的有: 生熟薏米水, 有米香之餘帶有少少薏米特有的膠質; 竹蔗馬蹄水就放了竹葉同煮, 有股竹子的清香.
最特別是見過有舖子賣羚羊水. 羚羊水其實是用羚羊角制成, 在以前西藥不流行的年代是天然的退熱退燒藥. 我媽小時就是吃這樣子的藥, 可惜現在已幾乎找不到.
雞飯
那店舖在舊區, 很南洋, 老舊得很. 伙計們大聲說着我們聽不懂的方言, 時光好像一下子倒退了三十多年. 雞飯的雞用的是雪雞, 普普通通. 但那雞飯卻十分香又不油膩. 香港的黑油比較甜, 這裡的有股焦香帶苦. 我吃不慣, 老公倒很欣賞.
肉骨茶
吃肉骨茶前我胃正在痛, 又想嘔吐, 一點也不想吃這油膩的東西. 但老公只有一個早上有空, 唯有吃他喜歡的. 怎知油膩感覺就沒有, 胡椒蒜頭各種藥材和肉骨味卻十分濃. 學着其它客人用油條浸肉骨湯, 一碗下去, 連胃痛都減輕了. 肉骨茶的茶是另上的, 一小包的'小葉甘', 用潮州功夫茶方法沖泡. 入口微苦, 之後的回甘把湯的濃味洗滌清淨.
回港後嘗試煮過, 只有其形色沒有其味.

旅途中
- Second day in Singapore, like it so far.
- live in Orchard Road, basically surrounded by SHOPPING MALLS. Now I know why hubby insisted on living in Orchard Road 'cause I can be sufficiently entertained by all these malls while he's having meetings.
- Went to a Thai restaurant last night. The 冬陰功 Tung Yum Gong was clear as water but the flavour was just amazing. I was totally shocked by the intensity and variety of flavours experienced.
- Am on my own today, just walking around not buying anything. I'd like to see store/shops different from HK but those shops are quite hard to find.
-I've decided to try as many new food as possible. Have a pancake roll 福建薄餅 for HK$10, a bottle of herbal tea for HK$10.
-They have put up all X'mas decoration on the streets. It's quite weird since it's sooo hot here and all those X'mas stuffs just don't seem to fit in with the weather. Plus I've listened to X'mas songs for the whole day, kind of getting tired of them now.
- Am I look like Singaporian? people on/in streets/MTR/malls keep asking me about places. At the mean time I myself keep getting lost on streets.
- they have these computer counters in Suntec City so I'm now standing in an awkward position typing as fast as I can 'cause there are people waiting behind me.

A Trip to Bangkok
I went to Bangkok for the past weekend. I was quite excited about the trip at the beginning. But after being trapped on a taxi for 2 hours, I felt less sure about the trip. Fortunately, the fine dinning and fine accommodation compensated my disappointments from the horrible traffics.
My main purpose for this trip was to get a dog free relaxing weekend. However, my hubby is so typical Hongky that we eventually visited a few popular sightseeing points such as 四面彿, Night Bazaar. But nothing’s exciting.
This trip to Bangkok confirmed my assumption that ‘international cities’ like Hong Kong, Bangkok, L.A. are pretty alike. I found Esprite, G2000, even Andy Lau (for Baleno) and many famous international brands in shopping malls in Bangkok. In one second, I thought I was in Hong Kong. So what’s the whole point traveling to another country when you can see them all in your home town?
I think the same feelings can be applied to tourists who visited Hong Kong for these years. Cities in mainland China looking more and more alike (sometimes even better than) Hong Kong in recent years. Tourists from mainland China were disappointed by what they’ve seen and what they’ve experienced because Hong Kong can not provide that Special Something.
But did we ever have that Special Something?? Is it the Peak? Ocean Park? Or did we reluctantly throw the Special Something away while we’re busy finding it?!
